On the surface appearing eerily similar to Lexington, KY’s 2007 & 2008 Yellow Bike Program, (which ended in dismal failure when all 100 bikes disappeared within days of their placement) the city of Chicago kicked off its own 22 million dollar (US) Divvy Bike Share Program today.

According to Program Coordinator Headley Sprocket, the Chicago team of rocket surgeons administering their program consulted the folks in Lexington to see what mistakes had been made so as to improve on their results.

When asked to delineate the improvements Chicago has made over the Lexington program Mr. Sprocket said, “ Well, like, the bikes in KY were like yellow & ours are like blue, it’s totally different.
